Jackie Von Tobel’s Animalia Collection was inspired by the feminine qualities of nature. Bright pink flamingoes with fluffy feathers, scampering roosters surveying their lay of the land, jewel-toned herons with feathers finely rendered, a kaleidoscope of winsome butterflies in flight, and a trio of the fanciful winged creatures in black are the characters that populate this whimsical kingdom.
Heron II is one of two paintings in this pattern that has been reproduced as a Fine Art Giclee Print. The black background makes the prowling bird pop in its blue, yellow, and pale orange hues. Hang it beside Heron I to create a colorful diptych.
